We need help/advice getting investment for a Montessori School?

My wife has started a Montessori School, but we don’t have enough capital to expand. Is there any programs for minority/woman owned businesses or anything else that would help her out?
Training/quality of curriculum is not an issue in this area. Without debating the relative value of different school systems, we live in the fastest growing county in the US and all schools are over crowded.

The question stands about financing.

The problem you will have is Montessori schools have very little difference in training, to offer prospective students, than do regular public schools. Almost all of her methodology and curricula foundation has been implemented in public education in America.

I would start by contacting the Montesori Foundation.

    http://www.montessori.org

They provide a lot of assistance to schools and might be able to point you in the right direction.

Is your Montessori school AMS or AMI affiliated? They would be able to help as well.

How are you looking to exapand? Are you looking to add more of the same age group or add additional grade levels?

I also found this web site for grants:
    http://www.k12grants.org/grant_opps.htm

You may want to just search on google for “grant” and “education” to see what comes up.

    Good luck!
    Matt
