Writing With An Angel
This is a true account of what has happened to me in becoming a writer. I work as a Psychiatric Techician in the mental health field. I talk with patients who suffers from mental illness. I wasn’t looking for that job.It just came to me. By talking to the mentally ill,and constantly listening to the dark side of their minds,I suddenly had the urge to write. I loved science fiction, and horror,so I decided to stick to that genre.
I didn’t know how to write a book,so I asked God will he send me an Angel to help me write a story. He must have done it,because as soon as I opened up my computer, and started typing, the story wrote itself. I wrote my first science fiction novel called Emanon. I asked my Angel, “ Now what do I have to do,now that my manuscript is finished? “ I went to bed with that question on my mind, and woke up with an answer. I would write a query letter, but I didn’t know what a query letter was. It came to me in a dream. I looked it up on the internet, and asked for samples. I took the most exceptible query letter, and wrote my version of it. It worked. I also didn’t know what a synopsis was,so I looked it up on the internet, and asked for samples. I did the same thing.
Now that I had my synopsis done, and my query letter done, I asked,
“ Angel, now what am I suppose to do ? “ I went to bed that night, and woke up with an answer. I got on my computer and asked that question. I was told to go to the library, and take out a book called The Writers Market. I did,and brought it home to read. It had over a hundred publishers in it from A to Z.
I pasted my synopsis ,and query letter on my note pad on my computer,so I wouldn’t have to keep writing letters over, and over again. I was able to send out those letters to each publisher. It worked.I was signed to a seven year contract.
I asked God, “ God,if you open up the doors for me,I would like to take this to the limit, and thank you for my Angel.” Since then I had written two more books that has been published. I wanted my work to be put on film,so I asked my Angel, “ Will you act as my agent? “ I had a good feeling right after I’d asked that question. I know that by waiting on Hollywood to notice me would be like playing the lottery. I went to bed that night. I woke up the next morning all excited. I called my wife. She wanted to know is everything alright.I said not only is everything alright but I just woke up with an idea. She wanted to know what it was. I said that I will start my own production company, and make my own movies. I called the IRS,and the Secretary Of State Of Wisconsin, and got my FID number, and my official seal. Since I talked to God about me taking this to the limit,I decided to name my company,Take It To The Limit Production. All I have to do is to get me some investors who will be interested in my project. My credit score is on the low end,but that won’t stop me because I have me an Angel. An Angel God had sent to work with me.
Now, I don’t go to church, but I do believe in God,Jesus, and Angels. I carry my church in my heart. The moral of this story is,as long as you have something to believe in,that keeps you in a positive frame of mind constantly, you can win over all obsticles. You just have to take that leap of faith. Faith do work, and everyone has an Angel beside them trying to talk to them. All you have to do is listen and believe. If You truly have faith, and willing to take the leap,I promise you,you will not have to worry about finding a job, getting a roof over your head,or even worry about the economy.
